A boutique Morocco tours travel site, hand-coded from scratch
A boutique tour operator taking travellers into the desert and deep into Moroccan culture. GSAP scroll animation, an AI chat assistant and three languages, on a site that still loads fast.
The Challenge
Saharaï came to me needing a site that could carry the weight of a proper travel brand – dozens of tour pages, destination guides, and experience categories, all needing to feel considered rather than templated, while still loading fast and holding up for SEO.
The content depth was the real challenge: I had to work through H1, slug, and meta optimisation across more than 30 pages before launch, and the site needed to work in multiple languages from day one, not bolted on afterwards.

The Outcome
I wanted the finished site to feel like a proper boutique tour operator, not a WordPress template with the photos swapped out – so I compressed the hero video for fast loading, built in GSAP scroll animations, and ran a Moroccan geometric border motif through the design without any of it costing load time.
I set up multilingual support using the Polylang plugin so the site’s properly ready to work across English, Italian and Spanish, and integrated MxChat Pro‘s AI chatbot connected to OpenAI’s API so visitors get an answer straight away instead of hunting through pages. I also created a custom block to show TripAdvisor reviews using their API.
The SEO groundwork – careful metadata across every single page rather than an afterthought – gives the site a proper foundation to build rankings from.
