Bellini Travel: Branding, Website Design & WordPress Development for a Bespoke Italy Travel Specialist
A UK-based Italy specialist with 26 years of insider access – private palazzi, after-hours galleries, villas that never reach the rental market. A website as discreet and considered as the trips it sells.
The Challenge
Bellini Travel isn’t a typical travel company. For more than two decades they’ve built trips around access most people can’t get – after-hours museum visits, private palazzi, villas that never appear on rental sites – and almost all of their clients arrive by recommendation rather than advertising. The website’s job wasn’t to shout. It had to reassure someone who’d just been handed the name by a friend that this was exactly the calibre of company they’d been told about.
That meant a lot of ground to cover without it feeling like a brochure: fifteen regions and cities from Venice to Sicily, experience-led themes like food, wine, honeymoons, family travel and skiing, private celebrations, and a film and TV location service – all needing to sit together under one quiet, confident identity.
The Outcome
I handled the whole thing – the branding, the design and the WordPress build – so the identity and the website were shaped together rather than one being squeezed to fit the other. The brand is quiet and assured, built to feel like a personal recommendation rather than an advert, and the site carries it through: it leads with imagery and restraint, letting Italy do the selling while the copy stays personal rather than promotional. Destinations and experiences are organised so visitors can browse by place or by the kind of trip they’re after, and every route through the site ends at the same place – a conversation with the team.
Because the team manage the content themselves, the build keeps editing simple: new destinations, experiences and properties can be added without touching the design, so the site can grow with the business rather than date around it.
