Looking for a freelance WordPress developer in London who can design and build you an amazing WordPress website? Look no further!

What I can do for you

I’m Leon, an expert WordPress developer based in London and I’ve been building WordPress websites for over 15 years.

I can help kickstart your idea from it’s inception, design, build and launch you a great-looking site that scores highly with Google.

WordPress experience

I’ve worked on dozens of WordPress projects from small company solutions to larger-budget implementations. I work with clients in a wide variety of industries including: food and drink, travel, fashion, healthcare and training.

I generally build my WordPress themes from scratch (mostly using the Genesis Framework) but can also help edit existing WordPress themes and WordPress troubleshooting (such as site hacks and other errors).

I can handle all the technical needs from start to finish; from finding and recommending a website host, to dealing with domain DNS issues and getting your site live.

All my WordPress themes are ‘mobile-first’ that allows your website and content to adapt to screens of many sizes like iPhones and iPads as well as laptop and desktop computers.

With mobile browsing surpassing desktop in May of 2015, and mobile-friendliness becoming an official Google ranking factor in April of the same year, creating a mobile-friendly website is no longer optional: it’s a necessity. It all starts with responsive web design.

How much does a WordPress website cost?

The length of time it takes to complete a project influences the cost and that depends on your requirements.
If you’re looking to build a site on a budget then a pre-built template theme would start at £1,000. For a full custom WordPress theme, the starting price would be £4,000. I can provide you with a free estimate within a 24 hours that will give you a more accurate figure. This is a ballpark cost and would need to be followed up by a full brief before work begins.

Why should I choose WordPress?

WordPress is ideal for a small to medium size company which require a variety of custom content. The software is free and open-source, designed to be SEO-friendly — all you have to do is find a host and a theme. One of the major advantages of WordPress are over 50k plugins that provide you out of the box functionality which means it is very cost effective — if you can think of it, someone’s probably already built a plugin for it.

What’s your experience with WordPress?

Over the years, I have developed over 30 WordPress websites. My approach to a WordPress website is to keep it clean, quick and user friendly. I use as few plugins as possible and custom code the rest to ensure it’s fast and easy to maintain. I use tools such as GitLab for version control and SASS for quick, consistent development.
